Gamages Christmas Catalogue - order form

This order form allowed christmas shoppers in England to send gifts to friends and relatives living in British colonies. These gifts, it was hoped, would remind those living abroad of 'the Old Country'.

About Gamage's Christmas Catalogue

Gamage's department store first opened in Holborn, London , in 1878. It sold affordable, high quality domestic goods, and produced cram-packed catalogues from which customers could order items for home delivery. The store also offered an international shipping service, sending Gamages’ products 'throughout the empire'. Many of Gamages’ catalogues specialised in particular types of products such as picnic baskets, bee keeping appliances, magic tricks, or motoring accessories. By the early 20th century, Gamage's was one of London 's best known stores.
