Here we read about Edward Washbeare of London, who suffered greatly from the Palsey. He came to the doctor without crutches, 'creeping on his hands and knees'. however, after ten weeks of treatment in the waters, he was, according to the author, 'perfectly recovered.'

'The Register of Bath' was written by the Somerset physician Thomas Guidott, and was published in 1694. The book contains 200 accounts of patients' experiences in Bath , describing the healing effects of the town's 'famous Hot Waters.'
