World Book Day

An opportunity for Primary students to meet children’s authors whose work is inspired by the world of crime, mystery and adventure!

To celebrate World Book Day, we’re inviting Primary school students to the British Library to meet children’s authors Gareth P Jones and Christopher Edge for readings and activities inspired by our exhibition, Murder in the Library: An A to Z of Crime Fiction.

Suitable for Year 3-6

Award-winning children’s author Gareth P Jones will present a lively interactive performance using original songs and humour inspired by his books, The Thornthwaite Inheritance and Constable & Toop

Christopher Edge

Tuesday 5 March 2013, 10.30-12pm and 1-2.30pm

Suitable for Year 5-6

Christopher Edge is the children’s author of thrilling adventures Twelve Minutes to Midnight and Shadows of the Silver Screen. Christopher will be reading from a selection of his books, discussing the inspiration behind his work and inviting young people to create some dark tales of their own!
