Find out more about the Library's upcoming literature exhibition and our accompanying learning programme.
Our summer exhibition will examine the relationship between author and place, and consider some of the ways in which writers have been inspired by, and in some cases even redefined, Britain. From Thomas Hardy and Emily Bronte to Ted Hughes and Zadie Smith, Writing Britain will display over 150 literary works, many for the first time.
A full programme of free learning workshops and lectures will accompany the exhibition, supporting and enriching the English curriculum for students at KS3, KS4 and A-level. We also have two stimulating and creative CPD events planned for teachers during the summer, organised in conjunction with our partners LATE and The Guardian.
