Lecture summary:
A chance to hear first-hand from an actor who has performed in adaptations of Dickens’ novels for the screen. Phil will talk about how Dickens inspired him as a boy and why he enjoys performing Dickens today.
Speaker:
Phil Davis has been an actor for 40 years and is perhaps best known for his work with director Mike Leigh. He was BAFTA-nominated for his performance in the 2004 film Vera Drake. Recent appearances include DS Ray Miles in ITV's Whitechapel series and he was a memorable Smallweed in the BBC's Bleak House.
