Monday 14 April 2014, 10.00-16.00

Aimed at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 teachers, the conference will provide a stimulating opportunity for English and History subject specialists to re-examine their teaching of the First World War. The event will feature high profile speakers including author Michael Morpurgo and academic and military historian Gary Sheffield. Delegates will be able to choose from a range of workshops led by educational practitioners, curators and historians. These workshops will include subject-specific and cross-curricular sessions as well as offer a chance for teachers to see some original collection material from the British Library.
