Map after the Fire

Account of a shipwreck
Created in 1677, just 11 years after the Great Fire of London, this is the first accurate and detailed map of London, with all the buildings represented in plan rather than as bird's eye views. This large map is printed on 20 sheets and features a title along the top, city arms and dedication to the Lord Mayor, the Aldermen and Sheriffs of the city in cartouche at the top left and arms of Sheldon at the top right and with a compass star and dividers at the bottom centre.
