The British Library gratefully acknowledges the John Frost Newspaper Archive for permission to reproduce this front page.

On this highly emotive page from the Daily Express, the majority of the space is taken over by the image, with only a single column of text running down the left-hand side. The editor breaks up this descriptive account of the funeral into five, cross-headed paragraphs, adding balance to the text.
