Lithograph by L.H. de Rudder (1807-1881) after an original drawing by Prince Aleksandr Mikhailovich Saltuikov of the procession of the Mughal Emperor of India Bahadur Shah II at Delhi published in 1848. Bahadur Shah Zafar (1775-1862), a noted poet and calligrapher, was the last of the Moghul Emperors. He was exiled to Rangoon (Yangon) in Burma (Myanmar) by the British after the Indian Uprising of 1857.
