Aquatint with etching of the rock at Jahangira by James Moffat (1775-1815) dated 1800. Jahangira is situated on the right bank of the river Ganges and consists of two large granite rocks. While the rock on the right is crowned with a mosque, the rock on the left is surrounded by water and its boulders are decorated with Hindu carvings that date from the 8th century.
