Courtallam or Kulittalai is located in Tamil Nadu in the south of India. It is famous for the nearby Kuttalam Falls where the Chittar River cascades over 92 metres down nine waterfalls. On its descent the river runs through forests of herbs and as a consequence the waters attract many people wishing to enjoy its curative properties especially at the Saral festival in July.
