Water-colour painting of Kotri in Sind, Pakistan by Henry Francis Ainslie (c.1805-1879) in December 1851. Inscribed on the front of the mount in red ink is: 'Sindh. Kotree on the Indus, the Head Qrs. of the Government flotilla, taken from our camp. Decr. 1851.'

Kotri is situated on the right bank of the Indus River opposite Hyderabad. It was the headquarters of the Indus steam flotilla until this was abolished due to the development of railway facilities.
