Wash drawing of the 'Burial Ground at Bangalore' by Robert Home (1752-1834) in 1792. This is part of a series of twenty-two loose drawings together with a map and three plans completed by Home when he accompanied the British army under Cornwallis during the 3rd Mysore War 1791-1792 and drew many of the hill forts, or droogs, captured during the campaign. This image shows the tombs of Captains James Smith, James Williamson, John Shipper, Nathaniel Daws and Jeremiah Delany, Lieutenant Conan and Lieutenant-Colonel Gratton.
