Watercolour of a window scene in Calcutta by Joseph Scott Phillips (1812-1884) and dated 1833. The image is from an album of drawings and watercolours made while Phillips was a supernumerary Second-Lieutenant at Dum Dum, immediately south of Calcutta. The album contains mostly views, some of which cover a trip through the Sunderbans to Dacca.
