Plate 22 from '24 Views in Indostan by William Orme'. This composition is based on a picture by Francis Swaine Ward (1736-1794) and depicts a the tomb of a Muslim holy man at Anupshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The obelisk to the left would have acted as a lamp stand. Within the walls is a tank for the purpose of bathing before entering the mosque. The trees depicted are tamarind trees.
