This miniature portrait of Guru Nanak comes from the 'Sarvasiddhantattvacudamani' - 'The Crest-Jewel of the Essence of all Systems of Astronomy' - written by Durgashankar Pathak in Varanasi. The manuscript was commissioned around 1840 by a Sikh nobleman called Lehna Singh Majithia, whose horoscope is included in the manuscript.
