Photograph of Buddhist sculptures from the upper monastery at Nutta, Peshawar District taken by Henry Cole in c.1883. This print shows four sculpture pieces, boxed for transportation, all similar compositions of female figures posed beneath trees. Bloch gives the find-spot as Sanghao. However, these pieces are reproduced in Illustrations of Graeco-Buddhist sculptures from the Yusufzai District, in vol. I of H.H. Cole, Preservation of monuments in India (c. 1885), pl. 10 and 15, where the location is given as the upper monastery at Nutta. The attribution of this photograph to Cole is probably incorrect.
