Photograph of the Taj Bauri, Bijapur from the Archaeological Survey of India Collections taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s. The Taj Bauri, a large artificial tank, was built c.1620 by Taj Sultana, wife of Ibrahim II (r.1580-1627). The long arcaded ranges on either side of the entrance were used for the temporary accommodation of travellers.
