Photograph of the Raj College at Burdwan in West Bengal, taken by an unknown photographer in c. 1904. Part of an album of photographs presented to Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of India, by Bijay Chand Mahtab of Burdwan (r.1887-1941), on his short visit to the city on 2nd April 1904. The college was founded by the Maharajas of Burdwan in 1817 as an English Vernacular School. It was recognised as College in 1881.
