Photograph of the city of Ajmere, Taraghur Hill and Ana Sagar Lake. This shows the view from the British Residency, looking down onto the lake and showing the marble pavilions lining the bund. The city of Ajmer and Taragarh Hill beyond are visible in the distance. The Ana Sagar Lake was built by Raja Anaji between 1135 and 1150 and the embankment was built of Shah Jahan who lived there for a long time when Ajmer was a royal residence of the Mughal Empire.
