A hand-coloured print of Council House Street, Calcutta, from the Fiebig Collection: Views of Calcutta and Surrounding Districts, taken by Frederick Fiebig in 1851. This is a view looking towards St John's Church, which was established in 1787 and became Calcutta's Cathedral before the building of St. Paul's between 1839 and 1847. Council House Street also contained the Treasury Building, built by the Reverend Mr Johnson in 1780.
