Photograph of the entrance showing sculptural detail on architraves of the old Jain temple at Sirpur,Washim District, Berar, taken by Robert Gill in 1871. In the Central Provinces list (1897), Cousens wrote, 'Sirpur, 12 miles west by north of Basim. Famous for the shrine of Antariksha Parsvanatha, a sacred resort of the Jains. There is a small but ancient Jain temple having a horizontal dome with pendants richly carved.'
