Full-length seated carte-de-visite portrait of Ranjitsinghji Mansinghji, Maharawal of Deogarh Bariya (1855-1908) from the 'Album of cartes de visite portraits of Indian rulers and notables' by Bourne and Shepherd, early 1870s. The chiefs of Deogarh Bariya in Gujarat are Chauhan Rajputs whose one branch founded the house of Bariya and the other Chota Udaipur. The bariya chiefs hold the title of Maharawal of Deogarh Bariya. Ranjitsinghji Mansinghji, Maharawal of Deogarh Bariya (1855-1908) succeeded to the throne in 1864.
