Photograph of the temple at Keshorai Patan in Rajasthan, taken by an unknown photographer for the Archaeological Survey of India Collections: Northern Circle (North-Western Provinces and Oudh) in 1896-97. Situated about eight miles to the north-east of Kotah, on the left bank of the Chambal River, stands the temple known as Keshorai Patan which is protected by a solid buttress from the high floods of the river. The mahamandapa (great hall) was rebuilt during the reign of Maharao Chhattar Sal in the mid-17th century. This photograph was taken from the

opposite bank of the Chambal River.
