Photograph of an earthenware goblet excavated at Depar Gangro in the Hyderabad District of Sind in Pakistan, taken by Henry Cousens in 1896-7. This decorated drinking vessel with raised decorations was excavated by Cousens and his team at Depar Gangro a site six miles to the north-west of Brahmanabad. Cousens wrote in Brahmanabad-Mansura in Sind, Archaeological Survey of India, Annual Report 1903-04, "At Depar Gangro we dug up, in the open plain, fragments of at least four pots or goblets of different patterns. Of one we got together sufficient pieces to reconstruct it by joining them together on a lump of clay - just half the vessel. Fig. 4 [this image] is a photograph of the same."
