A hand-coloured print of the Exchange, Calcutta, from the Fiebig Collection: Views of Calcutta and Surrounding Districts, taken by Frederick Fiebig in 1851. The Exchange Building on Tank Square, later Dalhousie Square, was put to many uses during its history, including an Exchange for merchants, a Post Office, a temporary Supreme Court, the first Coffee house in calcutta, then leased to Marquess Wellesley for the Fort William College, and was even the temporary home to the Church of Scotland before the opening of St. Andrews Church in 1818.
