Henry Cousens writes in "Revised List of Antiquarian remains in the Bombay Presidency", vol.VIII, 1987: "Nargarjuna is a third cave just up from the village, consisting of a padasali or verandah and inner nave. It is a Jaina excavation and contains several figures of the Digambara sect".
