Photograph of the entrance gopura of the Mallesvaraswami Temple at Madhugiri in Karnataka from the Archaeological Survey of India Collections: India Office Series (volume 24: 'a' numbers), taken by Henry Dixon in the 1860s. Madhugiri is situated 107 km to the north west of Bangalore. The stone temple dedicated to Bhagwan Mallinatha was built around 1531. This view shows the pyramidal entrance gopura covered with a vaulted roof with arched ends.
