This photograph was taken by Robert Gill for the Archaeological Survey of India in 1871 of a ruined temple at Satgaon. The temples at Satgaon are built in the Hemadpanti style of the 13th century Yadava period. This view shows the temple east of the large temple and within the walls of the village. It has a verandah with heavily carved pillars and sloping eaves typical of temple design. There is a Nandi bull image in front of the entrance to the shrine.
