Photograph of the Principal's House of Mayo College in Ajmer, taken by an unknown photographer in c.1879. The Principal's House was built in 1875 by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob under the supervision of Col. J.M. Williams. The Mayo College still serves as a famous educational institution as one of India's best public schools and was a school for young Indian princes. It was constructed of white marble and is situated in a large park.
