This photograph of an inscription slab of Madanapaladeva from Baijnath, Bihar, taken by Henry Baily Wade Garrick c. 1881-82 and is part of the Archaeological Survey of India Collections. The inscriptions were taken from a site near Baijnath, about which Garrick comments, '...It would be altogether unworthy of notice were it not for the ruthless waste of sculptures, and, very likely, valuable inscriptions also, that it exhibits in every part...'
