Jundiani [Hazara District]
Medium: Photographic print
Photograph of the hill-station of Thandiani in the North West Frontier Province, now in Pakistan taken in the 1860s by an unknown photographer. Thandiani was a small hill sanitarium established for officiers stationed at the nearby cantonment of Abbottabad. As the name indicates it is one of the coldest hill-stations in the region. It is situated on a plateau surrounded by pine forests with spectacular views of the whole Hazara district, including the city of Abbottabad.
