Full-length standing carte-de-visite portrait of Rao Bahadur Mahadeo Vasudeo Barve, State Karbari of Kolhapur from the 'Album of cartes de visite portraits of Indian rulers and notables' by Bourne and Shepherd, early 1870s. Kolhapur was founded by Raja Ram who was the younger son of the founder of the Maratha Empre Shivaji. A karbari was an agent or manager.
