This photograph of Lal Baradari from 'The Lucknow Album: containing a series of fifty photographic views of Lucknow,' was taken by Darogha Abbas Ali c.1874.

Lal Baradari, a summer house with twelve doors, was commissioned by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan (r.1798-1814). "It functioned as the throne-room of the Nawabs, and derived its name from the red colour of its facades."
