Photograph of a Hindu temple at Ramgarh in Kotah, Rajasthan, taken by an unknown photographer for the Archaeological Survey of India Collections: Northern Circle (North-Western Provinces and Oudh) in 1896-97. Ramgarh was founded in 1791 by a wealthy merchant family and is located about 60 miles north-east of Kotah. It is surrounded by a system of hills that form a valley with a beautiful lake in the middle. This temple pre-dates the town and is dedicated to Shiva.
