A hand-coloured print of the Shahbani Begum Mosque, from the Fiebig Collection: Views of Calcutta and Surrounding Districts, taken by Frederick Fiebig in 1851. This is a view of the Shahbani Begum Mosque, with a tank, or water-supply, in the foreground. The mosque was built around1840 by Shahbani Begum, a granddaughter of Tipu Sultan. It is double-aisled, multi-domed, rectangular mosque in a hybrid style.
