A hand-coloured print of Hastings Memorial, Calcutta, from the Fiebig Collection: Views of Calcutta and Surrounding Districts, taken by Frederick Fiebig in 1851. The Greek Ionic portico at the south end of Tank (later Dalhousie) Square contained Chantrey's statue of the Marquis of Hastings, Governor-General of India from 1813 to 1823. This portico was later incorporated into the Dalhousie Institute.
