Photograph of the facade of Sayyad Alam's Mosque at Ahmadabad in Gujarat, taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s, from the Archaeological Survey of India. This image was evidently taken after the restoration of the north wall in 1883. The mosque, one of the first in the city, was built by Abubakr Husaini in 1412. The facade has three arched entrances with minarets, now truncated at roof level, flanking the taller central section. On each side of the other two entrances are slender pilasters.
