Photograph of the New Veterinary College at Parel in Bombay from the 'Album of architectural and topographical views, mostly in South Asia' taken by an unknown photographer on 7 April 1909. The Imperial Gazetteer of India states, "The Civil Veterinary department of the Presidency, which is under the control of the Director of Land Records and Agriculture, is responsible for horse-breeding operations, having twelve stallions in its charge for this purpose, and also supervises the working of the various District veterinary dispensaries, each in charge of a veterinary graduate. The largest hospital under this department is at Parel on Bombay Island."
