Photograph of Nawab Sardar Khan's Tomb, on the Jamalpur road at Ahmadabad in Gujarat, taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s, from the Archaeological Survey of India. The mosque and tomb stand east of the Jamalpur road, the style of both buildings differs from other architecture in Ahmadabad. The tomb is in a separate enclosure and raised on a brick platform. Its plan is two concentric square, the outer of twenty pillars enclosing the verandah and the inner area has twelve pillars surrounding the tomb. The roof is covered in one large onion-shaped dome with eight smaller domes above the verandah. Perforated stone panels with various geometrical patterns fill the corners of the verandah and the sides of the inner chamber.
