[View of footpath in] Rambagh, Umritsar.
Medium: Photographic print
This print was by an unknown photographer in the 1870s and is from the Crofton Collection. The Rambagh is a large public garden at Amritsar containing many walks and beautiful fountains. They were laid out by Ranjit Singh (1780-1839) around a summer pavilion; the gateway to the gardens is the only original gate of the city which survives.
