Photograph of a Ruined temple at Bargaon. This photograph of the temple site was taken by Thomas Fraser Peppé in 1870 and is part of the collection of Sir Richard Carnac Temple. Descriptive notes by Peppé accompanying the photographs read as follows, 'There is no place in this district where the ruins are so extensive, or on such a large scale. Unfortunately, the greater part are hidden under immense mounds of brick rubbish, and although the place has been used as a quarry for bricks for many years, the foundations are not yet reached'
