Half-length seated carte-de-visite portrait of Umed Singh, Maharao of Sirohi (ruled 1862-1875) by Bourne and Shepherd, early 1870s. Sirohi, located in Rajasthan, was controlled by the Deora Rajputs related to the Chauhan clan of the king of Delhi Prithwi Raj. Umed Singh succeeded his father Sheo Singh in 1875. On his death he was succeded by his only son Kesri Singh.
