Sir Dinshaw Manockjee Petit (1823-1901) was a textile industrialist and philanthropist. In 1888, he donated funds to build the Sir Dinshaw Manackjee Petit Hospital, a hospital for women and children. This hospital is part of the Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy Hospital, which began as a dispensary in 1834 and opened in 1846.
