St Andrew's, Madras.
Medium: Photographic print
A photograph of the St. Andrew's Kirk, Madras from the 'Vibart Collection of Views in South India' taken by an unknown photographer about 1855. St. Andrew’s Kirk (1818-21) was designed by Major Thomas Fiott de Havilland and Colonel James Caldwell and is a superb example of neo-classical architecture. It was modelled after the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London.
