Sharif-un-Nisa Begum was the sister of Nawab Khan Bahadur Khan, Viceroy of Lahore; before her death she expressed a desire to be laid to rest in this tower from where she read the Koran every day. The tomb is situated within an elevated square and is decorated with enamelled fresco designs. On the upper portion of the walls are glazed tiles and an Arabic inscription which reads 'God is eternal; all the rest is perishable.'
