Photograph of Grieson's Well, Gaya in Bihar, from the Elgin Collection: 'Spring Tours 1894-98', taken in 1895. The well was named after Dr. Grierson, the District Magistrate of Gaya. Grierson conducted a personal enquiry into the condition of the poor of Gaya District published in 1888.
