A hand-coloured print of the Treasury, Calcutta, from the Fiebig Collection: Views of Calcutta and Surrounding Districts, taken by Frederick Fiebig in 1851. This is a view from the Maidan, a large grassy open space cleared during the building of Fort William, looking north, with the Treasury on left and the Government House gateways on the right. The Treasury on Council House Street was built by the Reverend Mr Johnson in 1780.
