Photograph of the south side of the Mana Sarovar Tank at Viramgam in Gujarat, taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s, from the Archaeological Survey of India Collections. This is a view of the tank with a temple and sluice in the foreground. This tank was built in about 1090 by Minal Devi, the mother of Sidh Raja, King of Avhilvada (1094-1143). Avhilvada, now Patan, was capital of Gujarat in the 11th-12th centuries under the Solanki rulers. The temples at Viramgam are dedicated to Krishna and Mahadeva.
