Photograph of the ruined Kali Mandir at Chintarian, Devikot, now in Bangladesh, taken by John Henry Ravenshaw in c.1871. Ravenshaw took views of ruined sites in the jungle at Devikot, the ancient city of Bannagar, and wrote a 'Descriptive note of the photographs of ancient architectural remains in Kantonugger and Bannugger' which was published in the Bengal public proceedings no. 26 of October 1871 although this view is not described there. India Museum no. 838. The view shows a ruined rectangular building with engaged towers at each corner and three arched niches within.
